In 1999, I graduated from Troy State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. After working with a Computer Programming company for eleven years, from basic Programmer to management I was laid off in August of 2011. God has blessed me at that time to have already start Nursing school. I completed Nursing school two semesters later after busting my 401k and living on student loans. In August of 2012, I started my first job as a Registered Nurse at the emergency room of a small hospital in central Florida. After three years of working in that hospital, in the ER, Progressive Care, and Post Anesthesia care unit I began my travel career traveling to other hospitals around the country. In January of 2016, after having to file Bankruptcy, the Holy Spirit guided me to return to school to pursue my Pastoral Counseling and Life Coaching degree. In May 2017, I was able to graduate with my Masters in Pastoral Counseling and Life Coaching from Liberty University. I am now also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
At age 37, I came to the realization that I had not been honest with who I really was. I entered my first same-sex relationship and for the first time knew who I really was. Coming out at that age was overly difficult and confusing for most of my family and friends. I was blessed to be able to find a network of LGBT affirming churches who loved and embraced me. As I progressed through this journey, I determined that I had a heart to work with those people whether straight or LGBT that have gone through similar difficulties that I have. God has positioned me at this time to be available for those who need a truly authentic ear to hear them and help them through the places where they seem to get stuck in their life.
